About the event

With rice cake

Let's enjoy Japanese food culture~

The annual Ogatei Mochitsuki is an event exclusively for email newsletter subscribers.

The rice cakes are pounded with a pestle and mortar made by my father (that's what I call my husband), who is an American and loves Japan.

You can enjoy freshly made rice cakes.

Both adults and children can enjoy mochi pounding, and those who wish can take their mochi home with them.

*The mochi is made using organic sticky rice. The sheet weighs approximately 800g. Makes 16 square rice cakes.

The mochi we sampled was seasoned with a variety of flavors, including soy sauce made by Ogatei, kinako, red beans, kimchi, and natto.

We offer pork soup and Ogatei bran pickles.

If you would like to drink alcohol with your meal, please bring your own.

We use carefully selected additive-free organic ingredients.

There is a limit on the number of people, so early reservations are recommended.
